Nissan City of Springfield Grand Opening

Friday October 28th 2022 was a great day for a celebration! Just a few months before, Nissan City of Springfield opened to much fanfare with new ownership and a completely new way of doing business!

The celebration started at noon with a buffet lunch, with a double ribbon-cutting at 1:30pm. Joe Nolan, along with the crew from 77 WABC Radio was on hand to help with the festivities.

Winter is tough on your vehicle. Now that the weather is warming up it’s time to perform some important maintenance to keep things running smoothly.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

Now that winter is in the rearview mirror, schedule a service checkup with our Nissan Service Center. Your appointment doesn’t have to be a scheduled service interval visit. Let the expert techs perform a thorough check of your vehicle’s fluids, tire pressure and treads, battery and engine/transmission systems. Fresh clean oil and other fluids ensure that your engine, transmission and drivetrain run smoothly.

WINTER TAKES A TOLL ON YOUR BATTERY

After winter, your car battery might be on its deathbed. Low temperatures forced your battery to work harder by slowing down its chemical reactions. Now, high temperatures are right around the corner, ready to evaporate essential battery fluids and speed up corrosion.

There’s a chance that one hot day could leave your battery DOA. Avoid the inconvenience of a car that won’t start by getting your car battery tested and if necessary, replaced, before it’s too late.

TIRES

Check your tire pressure in the morning, and adjust your tires based on that reading. Your tire pressure should match the recommended tire pressure in your vehicle manual. In general, tires lose or gain 1 PSI (pound per square inch) for every 10℉ change in temperature, and both under-inflated and over-inflated tires can cause problems on the road.

Our Nissan Service Center will check your tire’s tread depth and wear patterns as well, and recommend tire rotation and/or replacement.

WIPER BLADES AND WIPER FLUIDS

Winter ice and debris are not your wiper blades friends. Our Service Center will replace them for a clean, streak-free windshield. Top off your washer fluid as well.

Routine Maintenance

Tires

In snowy regions, dedicated winter tires are the best option. If you use your stock all-season tires, make sure they have enough tread and are wearing evenly. If treads are very worn, don’t shrug it off. It’s the safety of you, those riding with you and others around you!

Emergencies

Stock your vehicle with a few bottles of water, extra windshield fluid, an emergency blanket and flashlight. We’ve all heard about jammed highways that took many hours to clear. Be prepared!

Fuel

Keep your vehicle filled with fuel. A few hours of idling or a long detour can leave you stranded with an empty tank. While you’re at it, take the station stop as an opportunity to double-check your tire pressure. Changing temps cause tires to change pressure.

Snow sweepers

Finally…after a lengthy 30-year, award winning and successful career as an Automotive General Manager and Dealer Group Vice President, Michael Ianelli has opened his own Nissan Dealership Franchise right here in Red Bank, a dream years in the making. ProPilot Assist

ProPILOT Assist is a hands-on driver assist system that combines Nissan’s Intelligent Cruise Control and Steering Assist technologies and includes a stop and hold function that can bring the vehicle to a full stop, hold in place and can bring you back up to speed when traffic starts moving again. ProPILOT also syncs with the navigation system providing additional information to better predict the freeway ahead. ProPilot uses radar and cameras to “see” the road in real-time.

Available in the All-New Nissan Ariya EV (coming to Nissan City in 2022), ProPILOT Assist 2.0 will allow hands-off single-lane driving, as well as hands-on guided lane changing abilities.

Intelligent Braking

Automatic Emergency Braking uses radar technology to track the vehicle in front of you and can give you audible and visual warnings and apply braking to help you avoid or reduce the severity of a frontal collision. 

Available Rear Automatic Braking monitors the area directly behind your vehicle for stationary items you might not see. If you fail to stop, it can automatically engage the brakes to help avoid a rear collision or lessen the severity of an impact.

Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention: Changes lanes with confidence. This feature spots a vehicle in the blind spot area, and gives you a nudge back if you start to move over.

2022 Nissan Pathfinder

The Nissan Pathfinder has always been a leader in its class – powerful, roomy and comfortable for the long haul. For 2022, the Pathfinder has been reworked from the ground-up, and it’s amazing! Nissan built on the Pathfinder’s strengths and added driver-friendly tech and refinement. It’s the best Pathfinder yet!

Power to Spare

The 2022 Pathfinder retains the 284-hp 3.5-liter V-6 from the previous generation model with a new new nine-speed automatic for a 0-60 time of 6.7 seconds. Front-wheel drive is standard but most Pathfinders we carry are equipped with all-wheel drive, which adds a set of seven drive modes, including off-road focused Sand and Mud/Rut modes. With the Pathfinder’s power and transmission, it can tow up to 6000 lbs.

Interior Space and Maximum Comfort

The base model Pathfinder is a whole new experience inside, with lots of storage, new fabrics and more. The SL Premium Package makes the Pathfinder downright luxurious with 20-inch wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a Bose stereo system, heated rear seats, and wireless smartphone charging.
